Welcome to the Trivedi Lab!

We are in the Department of Chemistry at Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan.

Synthetic chemistry is the basis of our research with applications in molecular imaging, medicine, and catalysis. The common thread in our synthetic targets is light activation. Light activated molecules exist in nature from chlorophyll to vitamin B12; we intend to use these natural molecules as inspiration for our synthetic targets. Whether a target molecule is used for its fluorescent properties or to generate reactive oxygen species for catalysis, we aim to assess photophysical properties, biocompatibility, and reactivity for a myriad of practical applications.
